It takes many hands to keep an organization as large and diverse as the Lancer Band runnning smoothly. We depend on our parent and community volunteers to help.
Some of the volunteer positions require working very closely with the student. These positions require criminal check and child abuse clearances to be on file with the school district. You can find more specific volunteer information on the General McLane School District website.
Chaperones are needed on every band bus for most activities including away football games, band competitions, Kennywood trip, Disney trip, etc. There are usually 2 chaperones per bus for a total of 10-12. Each season, a number of permanent chaperones are selected and these are usually parents that have previous years experience. If you would like to chaperone, you will need to get your Criminal Record Check/clearances. The forms for this are on the GMHS web page under Central Office\Forms.
The Band Boosters are responsible for running the concession stand at all sporting events at General McLane High School including Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Track & Field. We will need volunteers for these events.
We also offer concessions for other events including but not limited to the Erie Jazz competition, job fairs, dances, Mr. GM, Relay for Life, and any other event where we are asked to help. These are not regulary scheduled events but will be announced at Booster meetings or emailed.

Main Band Camp Concessions
2017 Band Camp is Monday, July 24th through Friday, July 28th, and Monday, July 31st through Friday, August 4th from 8AM - 4PM. Lunch will be at noon.
